ABOUT

Flaminia Lizzani (Rome 1963). I live and work in Rome.

 

After graduating from the American Overseas School of Rome, I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and the Scuola Libera del Nudo.

​

Since 1993, I have dedicated much of my career to restoration work, working across Tuscany, Marche, and Lazio, including significant sites in Rome: Piazza del Popolo, Palazzo Farnese, Porta Pia, Palazzo della Consulta, Teatro Marcello, Temple of Vesta, Villa Medici, Capitoline Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, Galleria Borghese, National Gallery of Modern Art, Palazzo Barberini, San Pietro, and Palazzo Pecci Blunt.

From 2000 to 2010 I worked as a Casting Director for cinema and television.

​

Since 2015 I have been a member of the jury for the Carlo Lizzani Award, with ANAC Autori. The prize is awarded annualy during the Venice International Film Festival to cinema exhibitors who have shown exceptional courage and dedication in their work.
